Anyone going to try this $90 lens?
Lo-fi Micro 4/3 Camera Lens
It's a cheapo C-mount lens glued onto an adapter. Save your money, and just buy yourself an ebay adapter and then throw on your favorite brand C-mount lens, to get better results. Go to the adapted lenses section, and take a look around.
25mm and lower focal lengths in this mount, however, have a hard time covering our sensor. So, if you actually want to spend that money on something fun and worthwhile, pick yourself up something like a Vivitar 24mm or 28mm lens, in any mount, and then get yourself the appropriate adapter.
Doesn't look that much different from the Fujian lenses sold on eBay - including the C-mount adapter. (Looking at the lens - it does have "TV" in front, so it looks like it is a CCTV lens.)
That is a lot of money to spend on something that is cheap/is designed to look cheap. It's like buying pre-worn/faded designers jeans that have holes in them..I don't really get it.
Heh there's always the holga lens, and isn't the slr magic toy lens cheaper too?
Looks a lot like the SLR Magic 26mm f1.4 Toy Lens
These are also on Amazon for $30-35 with adapter and extension tubes.
I guess we're all discerning consumers when it comes to lenses, then!
