When I do a library search for photography, all I get is how to books or portfolio stuff, but I have a hankering to read some thoughts from classic photographers. I'm not sure whether I'm looking for memoirs, words on the craft, biographies, or what, but do you guys have any suggestions for inspiring reads dealing with photography, it's golden age, interesting periods and voices, etc? Thanks!

What is the best way to get photography books on the iPad? In the past I have bought through Kindle and the images are always super-small. Does iBooks do a better job of this? I hate having to lug around a big photography book....

I find that the Kindle app works great for photo books. If you double tap on a picture it enlarges. I like being able to conveniently carry a bunch of reference books.
