I am a birder who has discovered the joy of birding with a camera. I chose the Olympus system. While learning, I was looking for a bird photography club to join and couldn't find one so I started one! It's a private Facebook group, and in one month I have 50 members from six states and Canada! One of the happy circumstances of the pandemic is that all of our group meetings are done on Zoom so members can be anywhere! I'm wondering if any of you belong to a bird specific photography club. If so, what topics to you cover and how? For my group, we have a monthly technical topic and a monthly bird topic. July was aperture practice and urban birds. Many of the club members are very new to photography, so we're all learning together.
If you are involved with a club like this, I would love to hear how yours works to see if I can pick up some pointers. I really want this club to be a success, and I have no idea what I'm doing!! :)

Check local birding groups/clubs in your area. The Audubon Society may have pointers as well. Most cam mfrs have some sort of 'ambassador' program; these folks may have an insight or 2. Check some groups that may be a bit removed from birding- like wild life photography forums. The most notable camers store in your area may have an idea, too.
Good Luck with your project
