I’ve been seeding the garden with all sorts for a year or so, not knowing what may grow, and every now and then a little wonder appears through the overgrowth - I am no gardener. This one had been budding for about a week and finally opened, some – half of the petals anyway. Then it opened up completely to the spring sunshine.

I think it's a daisy, this one : Helichrysum floribundum Half way down on right here : Australian Asteraceae

Using the Pany G1 with an old Vivitar/Konica 55/1:1 macro lens with achromat on. BG is a piece of greyed and blackened weather and water worn hardwood that can often be found in creek beds or floodways.

I agree with all the others Mark. I'm intrigued about the flower inside the flower. I've never seen that before

The white petals look fantastic, never seen anything like it, they look like little pure white cotton bed sheets of all things. Dont know if it's the natural light or your post processing, but I love that soothing glow. Very nice shots.

Thanks for comments all, much appreciated. These are all flash shots and there is little PP, just what the G1 does in Nature mode with no NR and Picasa basics. Then denoised and sharpened in NeatImage.
