This may or may not be of interest to people here...

I have decided to sell some of my Pentax film gear to fund the purchase of a Voigtlander 25/f0.95. This is all good gear but I'm just not using it as much as I should... If people are interested in multiple items contact me and we can figure something out.

Shipping cost is included within the price for Regular AusPost within Australia. I will happily ship overseas at buyers expense.

I'd be interested in a trade for a Voigtlander Nokton 25/f0.95 - but only for less than the Mainline Photographics Australian price of $895AUD.

Item: Pentax LX body - Comes with the FA-1 finder and includes installed split prism/micro prism screen and another matte/gridded screen in excellent condition. This is the model that has ISO settings to 3200.

Condition: Good. This is a well used and well looked after LX body. All functions operate as they should with the exception of the shutter-button lock, which doesn't work. Film advance is smooth and positive, shutter fires accurately at all speeds, self timer works, mirror lock-up works etc etc... I have taken long-exposures of several minutes and longer and the metering has proven to be very accurate.

This body has been serviced twice by Erik Hendrikson (the legendary American Pentax expert) that I'm aware of - first a general CLA by the previous owner in 2009, that included new weather and light seals, light-meter and shutter calibration, general clean and lube, and replaced mirror stops (so no sticky mirror problem). The second time it was sent by me to repair a film advance problem. I have receipts for all work that will be included in the sale.

Cosmetically the body shows quite a lot of wear.

Here's some user reviews from PentaxForums. This is regarded by many as the best Pentax SLR ever, and with incredibly accurate Off the Film Metering (OTF) it is still used by many for astrophotography and other super long-exposure rolls. Item: SMC Pentax K 24/f2.8
Condition: Excellent. Optically this lens is close to mint. No scratches, haze or fungus and very little dust. Focus and aperture rings operate positively. There's no oil on the aperture blades and they snap nicely at all stops.

Cosmetically it is generally good. There is a scratch on the barrel and slight brassing on the aperture ring.

I've used this lens quite a bit on my Panasonic GH2 and have found it to be optically outstanding. I'd keep it if I wasn't getting the Nokton :)
