    Hi all,

Anyone using the above lens on their m43 camera ? Any good ?

Opinions online seem to vary a bit - some loving the compact size others reckon its performance is not worth the price.

Let me know if its worth a punt as an adapted lens (I've already got an adaptor for my f1.7 Pentax lens).

    Cheers,
    Raj.

I'd also be interested to know.
I often use a Pentax-K-fit Cosinon 50mm but its not a pancake and I think I still want a pancake : but not if the IQ isn't as good.

You mean this Pentax-M SMC 40mm F2.8? (not that there are any others!)

I never did use it on my m4/3 gear (though I did last year when I had a panasonic L1 briefly). It is obviously still pretty compact, not as wide as the Panny 20mm, and less than 1cm longer (that is after the adapter, the lens itself is smaller than the 20mm). It is a nice lens, albeit a little on the slow side (thats what you get for a pancake). It is actually a much more useful focal length equivalent on m4/3 (80mm) vs aps-c (60mm). Anyway, its not a spectacular lens, but no slouch either.
