I like my new (used) Pen f because it is simpler than the OM D II. If this new company follows through May there will be an upgrade? There are a couple 40 mp sensors out and about...

The Pen-F indeed is a lovely camera and still an interesting addition in the whole MFT or at least Olympus line of cameras. You'll find quite a few fans of this camera around here, myself included.

Will they ever release a new version? That's been a subject of debate since quite a while, there were rumors about a Mk II a few years ago, which turned out being false, instead Olympus seized production and marketing of the F. Now new rumors appeared again. Even though I am a huge fan of this lovely camera, I have high doubts OMDS (the new brand of former Olympus Imaging) is going to pull it off. Especially not so soon, if they are going to introduce a new sensor in a new camera, they won't make the same mistake by doing so again when they introduced the 20 MP sensor in the Pen, but rather some sort of E-M1 variant with maybe a new Pen-F following up later on.

But then again, my glas is always half empty
