Just got a Pen E-P3 second hand. I'm trying to put it through its paces so that I'm sure that all is well with it.

One thing I've noticed is that the IBIS' sensor shift has an audible whirring noise during long-ish exposures, such as 1.6 seconds.

For reference (if you're also a Canon SLR shooter), it's louder than a USM lens acquiring focus, but not as loud as a non-USM lens.

Forgive me; this is the first Oly body I've owned, coming from a Panasonic GF1 and a Fuji X100.

    Thanks all!

I found this to answer my question, in case anyone else needed the answer:

    Looks like it's normal.

I hadn't really noticed this, but good to know - thanks!

I just realized that I didn't actually pose my question (which I already seem to have answered myself)!

My question was, is this normal? Thought I believe it is based on what I've found, I'd be interested in hearing from others.

    Thank you!
