Great light and detail. Love the tonal range from highlights to shadows.
Great black and white photo. May I ask you what your secret is?
Do you use special software like NIK or something like that?
Nik Silver Efex Pro 2. I start with one of my 3 or 4 favorite presets but then I do a fair amount of manual tweaking. My 3 most often used tools are structure, soft contrast, and toning. All are blended and balanced based on the subject matter and texture.
Bill the tones are very nice!
Y vale todos los centavos!
Great B&W!! Thanks for that, something to shoot for.
i agree with everyone's sentiments here -- the tones are excellent!
Great image. I'm curious however about what happened to the right side of the R, the o, and the s (last letters of caballeros). It almost looks there might have been some very well disguised photoshopping of that part of the image.
I really like the processing on this shot - beautiful!
Never touched that area. What you see is what was there. While I may work on the overall look and feel of an image, I rarely remove, add, or drastically alter subject matter (except for cropping on occasion).
I'd imagine it's written on in some sort of non-permanent pen/marker and, judging by the way the other door opens, that is where most hands land when they go to push it open.
