Hey guys I would like to share with you, some of my images of my recent trip to Patagonia. For two and half weeks, we walked, hiked, travelled around this somehow mysterious yet silent region of our planet, or how locals like to call it "The end of the world". We are originally from Chile, but have never been in Patagonia before, also have been living outside of our country for almost 3 years now, and that also gave us, more of a "foreign" perspective while still being "local".

I hope my pictures captured just a tiny bit of the "spirit" that you breath down there. Is simply a different planet. One where there's only pure life, no malls, no mcdonalds, no what some would call "progress", where the people still eat from their garden, share their animals, they have a community, people is welcoming, where there are no thieves, and they respect and care for nature as they do for their families... its definitely quite an experience, and mind opening.

Awesome photos - well done! I particularly liked the one of the boat with flowers in the foreground. Excellent wide angle technique. Thanks for sharing these!

Lovely. Brings back memories! Really needed more time in Torres del Paine and to explore Patagonia proper. Next time I go I'll reserve 3 weeks for that and 3 more for Antarctica. Need to work out a way to be rich AND out of a job at the same time, apparently....

Fantastic images. You have an excellent eye for composition. Enjoyed your impressions and have now added Patagonio to the list of places I want to visit.

Out of interest, which camera and lenses did you use?

Wow! Stunning photos as always Chris... but these are particularly wonderful. I am not at all surprised to hear Olympus Magazine wants to feature them :2thumbs:

And on a separate note, great - thanks a ton. Now I want to go to Patagonia really badly  I've been lucky enough to visit some gorgeous places but I don't think you can ever get your fill of trips like this! I know exactly what you mean about the feel of certain places too, where the natural beauty and soul of the people eclipses everything else. I have had 2 experiences like that in my life so far (Ireland, and Montana)... both times I felt a little heartbroken leaving at the end of our trip.

Ok, I had to come back in and post again.

Chris, your photos are so good I feel utterly inspired to go out and shoot now. Not to mention I can't wait for our vacation later this year now too

    Thanks for the inspiration.
