    Wow, sarap!!!! Great documentary photos of the process, I have never seen pastilles made by hand. Great lighting and composition. Thanks for sharing.

    Never knew pastillas was made out of Carabao milk! One of my favorite childhood treats!

    Leyte is situated in Eastern Visayas region. northeast of Cebu. south of Manila.

    Carigara is a town of Leyte famous for, of course, the "pastillas" and also "sundang" (traditional bolo knife) reference > Bolo knife - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

    Dayam I miss this stuff. I remember this stuff when I was a kid. I also remember carabao's milk with sugar on rice with fish.that was good shooter.

    Hahaha. We do it in a different way. Carabao's milk with a pinch of salt poured on steamed rice. Nyarap! :tongue:
