Hi. I absolutely love this photo I took of this couple. I love her eyes closed and the dark background. I want to lessen the exposure around the grooms face to bring out just a bit more definition. Any idea how to do this in photoshop or Lightroom?

I have the .orf raw file too if needed.

The Haze slider in Lightroom will reduce the flare and might accomplish what you want. It might also ruin the feel of the image.

Here is what I came up with using a Multiply layer filter and some other tweaks. What do you think?

You can use the dehaze slider with the adjustment bush and select automask with a density of 100 to start. This will allow you work just around their faces and to try and bring back some of the color/contrast, as well as make any other necessary changes, while leaving the beautiful flare as is behind them. Here is a link to a video on how to do this which might help, though it's a landscape, I think it will give you a good idea on how to proceed.
