Pany Leica 25mm DG Lux....Great lens, problem hood.

    Problem hood.....IMVHO, insomuch as it cannot be reversed and stowed on the lens.

    It looks the business when mounted on the front of the lens but I find stowage pain.

    Personally, I find it more imprtant to have a hood that prevents flare, protects the front element from damage and allows more accurate metering than a hood that reverses for storage.

    This lens costs a lot and is a quality item as is the hood, it is also known that if used without the hood it can suffer flare so to my mind it is a small compromise to make to get the best from it.

    You could of course always buy a smaller shade that will screw in the filter thread and even though still not reversible, will take less space in your bag.
