I have posted a thread but I have not been able to understand why this happens, so please help.

GX7 at 14mm taking photo of living room couch. exact same setting in p mode, no compensation. If I use built in flash,
the exposure is correct, but if I use Olympus 36R (new) the flash exposure on exact same subject at same setting is
underexposed by about 1/2 stop. Why would this happen? If I turn this to 42mm, the flash exposure is somewhat similar, but the photo with Olympus 36R used is slightly brighter. It is driving me nuts, as I want consistent flash exposure. Please help or explain. If some one has 36R, can you try and tell me the result?
    Thank you
