I wonder if anyone compared these two lenses. I used to have Oly EPL1 with old Oly 14-42. I now own GF1 and I bought 14-42 OS for it. 14-42 OS is ok lens, but just ok. I am wondering if I should replace it with new Oly 14-42 II. I know I am going to lose OS, but I am more concerned with sharpness/contrast/autofocus speed and things like these. I only use 14-42 for daylight shooting anyway, I use 20mm F/1.7 for night time shooting.

If i were you I'd get the Panasonic 14-45mm f/3.5-5.6 It's a stunning lens and will have that little extra reach. I have just bought a Olympus E-PL2 and that came with the 14-42 f/3.5-5.6 II silent lens and i must say so far i have been pretty blown away with how good it is. I don't think it's as well made as the 14-45 from Panasonic but so far i love it!
