Amazon has the same price too. I wondered why it was so pricy for so long. The Oly EVFs have been "dynamically" priced since summer too. I bought a LVF2 for my GX1 last spring for $165. I hate to say it, but it's the worse EVF I've owned with pronounced smearing/tearing during pans and jumpy and gritty in low light (the LCD is pretty poor too). Looks great for static subjects in bright light. Display really trails the VF-2 and VF-4 I use on my Oly gear.

I think Panasonic rectified that issue with the newer EVFs in cameras like the G6 and GX7. That was one thing I didn't like with the older Panasonic EVFs was that the frame rate would drop in low light. Though I find image acuity with Panasonic EVFs a bit better when light is good.

Just try an LVF1 (I guess you need a GF1 for that too) and your complaints will evaporate!
