You can just cancel the bid if you changed your mind. There is an option there to do that.

Your bid is a binding contract to purchase, and while there are times when buyer and seller agree to cancel a bid, excessive bid retractions count against you.

In practicality, you can cancel a bid without seller permission under most circumstances. If you couldn't the portal wouldn't let you (it does). It's not a binding contract until you win the auction.
