The more I use this lens, the more I appreciate how great it is. At least as good as any prime, and maybe better than some.

I don't have any special photos to show for it, but I broke down and bought one a few months back. I really fought myself on keeping the lens just due to the size and weight. However, it now lives on my camera almost all the time. The biggest reason I kept it, besides epic image quality, was how easy and intuitive it is to use. The large controls make manual focusing easy, and the amount of zoom lets me compose in camera rather than a crop. The weight was something I just had to get used to. Since the finger grip on the GX8 is great, it actually isn't that much of an issue to carry. It also replaced three lenses that were in my bag, so while I added a small amount of total weight, the total space taken up in the bag was smaller.

I would say this lens awakes inspiration :) and it is always good.

Do you carry the camera or the lens, if you are mounted on anything other than a G9 or EM1X? One pic in this thread, it's mounted on a GX8!

I prefer to use it on the G9 myself, where it lives pretty much full time. I have two of those, and when on assignment the other body has the 50-200 PL, or if in low light the 42.5 PL or the Oly 75. I do have 2 GX8's, but with them I stick with primes only as it seems to be more balanced.

This lens is awesome, the rendering is so nice, some pictures look almost 3D. I think I prefer the images coming from this lens to the 15mm f/1.7, 20mm f/1.7 and 25mm f/1.4.

Stunning images people! What a crispness, sharpness, colours and indeed, seeming 3D pop.
