I got mine during 20% off . Then I could not resist. Even at full price, it sits between for example Sony 16-35/4 and 16-35/2,8 (losing 16-19 and gaining nifty-fifty) and the price is justifiable IMHO.

I would probably buy it at full price anyway, if it helps you :)

Thank you very much for your kind words.
I like it too. I'm proud of myself :) because I was not lazy to climb the scaffolding with all the gear. Especially the way down was painful.
But then I got used to it and later I climbed it two more times :)

The images from this lens look great.

Who had 20% off this lens?

In the wide to normal range I used to carry three prime lenses, a Laowa 7.5, either PL 15 or Sigma 16, and either the P 25 or Sigma 30. I would also carry the PL 12-60 for more fluid situations and when shooting candids outside or in good light inside. So now all of those lenses are on the shelf and I have just one to replace them in my bag with the convenience of a zoom combined the focus separation and image quality of a fast prime. Totally worth it.

Now it's simple. I carry the PL 10-25, the PL 50-200 and the Oly 75 for a fast tele prime. All superb lenses that give me great range in any light with plenty of coverage. Life on assignment is much more simple these days.

Saturday photoshoot on Mototrial in Kramolín, Czech Rep.

Very challenging light ( or lack of ). I will probably have to learn to use the flash.

Definitelly.

I will have to re-learn this in ACDSee. Is is all there but some tools are too simple or strangely implemented.

This is the wild East :)

In reality they were in a groove trying to climb up. And often I was hiding behind a pine tree (visible in the last picture). The referee or how it is called knew about me and did not mind.

I was very careful, but generally, you are right.

Still, these are the best shots (or they will be next time, I must do it better).

In all honesty, I probably would have been better off shooting these with the 12-35mm f/2.8, but hey! new lens!

Joel, I'm just curious as to why you feel that you would have been better off with the 12-35 for these shots?

The first image was actually the type of shot I was going for, I have a whole bunch where the 25-35mm range really would have improved the framing. And it's only anecdotal because that was the only time I've ever tried shooting such fast moving subjects with the 10-25, but the hit rate was lower than I would have expected had I been using the 12-35 under similar circumstances. The 2nd shot was a one off from the day, the puppy should not have been running over to me like that. It's the kind of image that this lens could do just fine at, but so can the PL8-18. And don't get me wrong, I'm really diggin' this lens and the potential it has, but trying to capture dogs catching frisbees in a competition is not what it is optimized for.

Seems to work just fine on the street. Super fast and accurate focus, and a real sense of clarity and dimensionality when photographing people...
