Perhaps I should undertake a "one camera, one lens" project with this lens. I find learning how to "see wide" quite tricky, and it can certainly test the dynamic range choices we have to make because of the field of view. Bolted it to the 5iii for a bicycle ride last evening. Not terribly happy with my results, but live and learn. I'm way more comfortable at the long end, so perhaps just practice practice practice is in order.

All jpegs from camera, some pretty rudimentary editing in snapseed on the phone.

Received my used copy today. Seems pretty sharp, though a little more scratched and used then what the pictures/seller conveyed. Oh well, its kind of like a new car- you are relieved after the first scratch.

Went for a quick walk in a spot I've taken a lot of photos at and got completely different shots. It's a refreshing experience compared to the last 9 years of pretty standard focal lengths. A lot more crouching, using the articulating screen, portrait orientation, level guide, etc. Excited to use this thing!

SOOC jpegs:

Took the G9 and 8-18 on a 3,300 foot bike ride. Legs are tired and luckily didn't crash and break camera or body

Been looking at this thread for a while from page 1! Finally got a copy a couple days ago. Hiked up to 2500' to give it a test.

So in addition to the 10 stop ND, does the High Res mode mean your 6 second shutter speed is multiplied by the number of pixel level shifts by IBIS? Is that why this looks so smooth too?
Yes, it took total 48s to finish the picture and yes the water is very smooth with HR. I think the IBIS shift is only for the handheld and that's the reason you can use HHHR to shoot Milky Way.

Some pics from my latest kayak adventure in Gothenburg archipelago. Shot with the E-M5.3.

Every year me and some colleagues use to take a kayak trip, three days. It is sponsored by job, rent and food. This year it was the usual gang and two newcomers also. Very fun! We had a great time!

Actually I got the lens on the way out on this! Really on the way, I had to tell boss to take a short detour to pick it up, was outside my door at home :)

The lens was fantastic for things like this. Had other lenses but used only this one. Great for lower light also, really like it.
