Working up some photos for a review on this guy, I got one on a punt from a local for 110 bucks and man was it worth every penny! Best bokeh/$$$ of any lens I own I think, including the 45 1.8.

Sharpness, microcontrast, smooth bokeh (eventhough there were tons of thin branches in the background), ultra lightweight, etc

I had my G85 next to my left shoulder, I used the opened LCD and let it gently rest on my shoulder to have a bit of steadiness while I was pressing and focusing the shot with my right hand. And it is also the minimal focusing distance where you can focus with no problem.

I still have mine to use with a GX8, super lens, shame about the lens hood!

We do tend to grumble about the size and shape of Panasonic's lens hood for this lens. Because it's deep and rectangular it can't be reverse mounted for storage, and is bulky when attached to the lens. Nevertheless, it's probably the most efficient lens hood of any M4/3 lens I can think of. It's deep enough to be properly effective in shielding extraneous light from the front element and, having the same rectangular shape as the sensor, it's designed not to vignette, unlike most round lens hoods. Yes, this hood's a bit of a nuisance, but I always use it when possible. I have to admit I'm a bit of a fan; I think it looks cool!
