My new PL15!
Very happy with it...I'll even accept the slightly wobbly bokeh balls!

A few demonstrating my discovery that the 15mm is an excellent lens for baby pictures.

The Gx85 and the PL15 are a great match!
[And something in my heads is saying the Gx9 would be even better!!....(Quiet, thing in my heads!!!)]

The lens arrived yesterday but I was at work so all I could do is clean the lens and see how it feels with the camera, some low light tests. I was happy to see that I can get ISO 3.2oo at 1/3o sec. with f 1.7 indoors at 22:eek:o in the evening. The shutter speed is a bit low for movement so maybe its time to look for brighter lights on the living room.

Anywho, here's some samples of pictures I made this morning on my way to work, SooC with only resize to 16oo X 12oo applied.

Very sharp little lens and with a tiny bit of magenta CA at the edges of edges, but this is not a particularly challenging situation.

This one does have a significant crop to it, needing to rotate the image and put the și ject to the middle where in the full image it was in the upper 3/4th of the frame.

The one that really took me off my feet is how good the lens is for flowers.

The miminum focus distance is not going to blow socks off but it does leave room for the lens good and light to not get in the way.

And it gives gorgeous environmental close ups with even the smallest of subjects (this flower was smaller then my pinky fingernail).

But really, what did blew my socks was the sharpness, admittedly on the back of the screen and my phone checked only, on this little lens.

The colour rendition is just amaze-balls and the bokeh-is-licious.

There is some Cyan CA in the background and around the highlights it's less intrusive then what I have experienced with Panny 20mm f 1.7 Mark II.

(The image is underexposed by about 1 stop in camera to preserve the sky colour). I was quite surprised that I found the focal length so comfortable and easy to use, more so then the Panny 20mm though not sure why... Yet. I feel that 12mm is to wide and it distorts the perspective on the edges of the frame, feeling like ultra wide, while 17mm (that I set on Oly 12-40 Pro and 12-100 Pro) feels to tight for indoor and street photography.

Speaking of indoor, this was the first picture I made with the lens late last night, it instantly sparked joy seeing the result.

PS: I may have figured out how to work around the portrait pictures not being posted in the right orientation, I resized them (using a free app) to 1.6oo X 1.2oo and they are being posted properly (though I'm still not sure if it's a Chrome problem or Web coding issue.

This one does seem to have pretty high amounts of CA but it is a very challenging situation to shoot against the sun, the flare resistance seems to be decent but still there.

Not sure if it's just me but this Leica (whatever level of involvement they had or not) lens does seem to have a beautiful 3D pop that makes colours just that more noticeable.

Even though I did miss the focus on this one somehow it still makes the image hard not to stare at for the colours and rendition.
