I'm not being paid by Panasonic, lol. I promise. This isn't a promotional post.

But imo there's not a body in the MFT catalogue - from the tiny GM5 to the larger Em1's/G9's - that isn't made better by owning this lens. Mine is looking very battered, the lens hood bayonet worn away to the point that i use bluetack to hold it on! But its my Charlton Heston lens. "From my cold, dead hands". I'm tempted to buy a black one as well, but I live in hope that one day Pana may give us a weathersealed "version 2". If they do, it'll be the "must own" lens of the system, if it isn't already.

All tweeked jpegs.

This is an egregious cross post from the street thread but I gotta say that I'm really loving shooting the 15/1.7 using zone focusing for street photography. I used to think the 15mm FoV would be too wide for me to comfortably photograph strangers but I've been framing shots by tilting up the rear screen (eg: looking down at my camera as though it were a TLR camera) and I'm much more confident shooting that way (you know, like an ostrich with its head buried in the sand...I'm not looking at you so you must not be able to see me). Here are some of my favourite 15/1.7 street shots from the month that I've started doing zone focusing. Note: they've ALL had some cropping...which is why I appreciate having 20mp of resolution (GX9). Virtually all my street stuff is shot in landscape orientation but is often cropped to square or portrait dimensions.
