Panasonic GX-7 is off to Antarctica

    Interesting choice. I must say, the only thing I don't like so far about my GX7 is its alleged lack of weather sealing (I say 'alleged' because while I know Panasonic hasn't tried to claim it's sealed at all - quite the opposite in fact - it remains to be seen how well the camera can stand up to the elements based on sheer build-quality alone.. hopefully better than the manual would lead one to believe).

    I've been out in a few minor fall rains with mine and so far no problems, but Antarctica?? These guys are in for some serious stress-testing.. I can't help but wonder if the GX7 is up for it (although I'd love to learn that it is!).

    Then again when I was younger and into hardcore wilderness travel, I was shooting F-series Nikons, so maybe I'm just used to not having to give such things a second thought ;-P
