    I only see $999 - $150 = $849. Am I missing something?

If you're an employee of an organization participating in the Panasonic Employee Purchase Program, you may be eligible to receive discounts on Panasonic products.
    Check eligibility https://www2.panasonic.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/vEppDiscountEligibilityCheck?krypto=UzJz8ffd6MTgxR61zzR3Zqt%2FTF1YIZ3jQUoVwg4r%2FVTLmQsCpXzc6f9i7CdwSDXSklKEKktEpZjR%0A9sJbPN5qQg%3D%3D

If you don't have EPP you can go through Panasonic Facebook page for fans only deals...but it would be more expensive at $649.96.

    EPP (Employee Purchase Plan)?

IIRC you can get the discount also by 'friending' them on facebook.

Wonder if this price is a foreshadow of things to come. I'm in the market for something with great video capabilities and it seems this GH2 seems to fit the bill especially with the video hacks!

Their site is taking a beating - I can't seem to keep a reliable connection going to shop.panasonic.com. I'm just wondering how low the price will go, and when to pull the trigger.

got in, and I'm eligible... so tempted to pull the trigger on this now. $600 w/ lens - that's what I paid for my GF1!

Is there any way to get the EPP price if you're not technically "eligible", or is that just shady? The facebook friends price of $650 is still a great deal, but 50 bucks is 50 bucks.

That camera is unbeatable at that price. They have the GX1 with 14-42 for something like $40 more.

You may take that number with a grain of salt, there have been multiple threads about how long it takes to get stuff from panasonic and how horrible they are to deal with. I wouldn't be surprised if your 4 weeks turns into 6-8 weeks or longer.
Great price but your paying the rest in other ways. I hope they get their act together this time.

Still promised myself I wouldn't do it until after tomorrow's announcement (maybe some specs on the G5 or a hint of when the GH3 will be released?), but that's good to know. Maybe it's worth the extra $150 to get it on Amazon (no tax or shipping thanks to Prime). [edit] - looks like no tax or shipping via Panasonic either - wonder how they pulled that off...

Showing $849 for me.... And that's signed into EPP..... Added to my cart, still the same... That's okay, I do not need one, I do not need one, I do not need one...

Sell the lens for $100, now down to $500!

I was thinking about buying the same GH-2 kit at B&H Photo last night for $750 but I'm glad I held off and saved myself $100! I can wait awhile for it to come in since I still have my G1 and a camcorder. I just hope I don't end up spending too much money on video recording stuff to make the video more 'professional' looking.

Okay, price is now $599 for me. FYI - a previous order I had through them for a GF3X showed shipping in 24 hours, but I ended up cancelling after 3 weeks and still no stock.. Probably was a lens issue. However, it is easy to cancel if it hasn't shipped.. However they do have restocking fees. Tax for me.

    Very tempting......

i'm currently waiting on the a pre-ordered EM5. at this price, i'm tempted to cancel EM5 and go with GH2. But then I need a pocketable cam, since I already have 5dm2 lineup.
    So hard to decide.
Is EM5 IQ alot better than GH2? especially at high ISO?
