I generally buy the OEM offerings.

OEM specifications labeled on the battery pack:
    LUMIX Panasonic
    Model NO DMW-BLD10PP
    7.2V 1010mAh
    7.3Wh Li-ion

I desire a higher mAh (milliamp hour) rating for greater longevity. I prefer Li-ion (Lithium-ion) for the greatly-decreased memory effect.

    This is for my GX1.

    Anyone have any recommendations?

I've been looking into this as well. Out of curiosity, how many images are you getting per battery charge? I'm averaging 400-600 depending on the day, which is far higher than the manufacturer suggests.

About 450-550 depending on the settings.

I am going to order this one. It is rated at 1500 mAh.

The aftermarket BestBatt.com battery is rated 500mAh higher than the Panasonic version. I shot ~800 images and ~10 minutes of video this past Friday night using the new battery and it still has two bars left on my GX1 display. So far it is working fine.

Nothing like using my first post here to revive a year old thread.....:sorry:

So first off sorry but this thread is exactly what I was looking for.

Your Initial results from the battery sound great. Just wondering if you have any long term reports about it. Any issues? Any failures? Is the battery sill working and holding a charge? Has it caused your gx1 to melt into a gooey pile of plastic and electronic?

That aftermarket battery is still working fine. No issues.
