    Description
    Excellent Panasonic 7-14mm

Optically and mechanically this lens is excellent, no exceptions. Zoom is smooth, function is perfect. Glass is unmarked, and it shoots sharp photos.

Cosmetically, it is also excellent. However, I must note that there is a very slight discoloration that develops on the lens hood as the result of using the lens cap. Honestly, this is nothing with which to be concerned - a new lens will develop this over time. For all I know it can be buffed/wiped/polished away. Note that it can be seen in the fourth photo, below. It really is subtle and has no effect on performance.

Sale includes lens, original caps, soft case amnd extras described below. I am selling chiefly because I simply do not use it anywhere near enough to justify keeping it.

I have and am including in the sale two extras for this lens:

    1. The first is the Panasonic part needed to use filter gels on the back side of this lens. I never installed it, and in fact I think the box is unopened. These can be hard to come by. I recall that it too almost a month to order and obtain this part. See discussion here: http://www.dpreview.com/forums/thread/3396679
    2. The second is a 100mm square Cokin filter holder for the front fabricated from a square filter holder and an additional lens cap. Instructions in this forum somewhere for doing this. I never used this either, but am happy to pass it along. The solution is very similar to this, though it uses a lens cap instead of the rubber lens hood this solution uses: http://the-random-photographer.blogspot.co.uk/2012/07/filters-on-panasonic-7-14mm-problem.html

If I weren't waiting for the O2.8 version, I'd hop on this...I so do miss my old SHG 7-14...spectacular focal length.

    GLWS.

I'd like an f/2.8 version too, is there rumors of one or just wishful thinking?

    - - - Updated - - -

Speaking to the discoloration of the built-in hood area (if I'm understanding the post description and what I'm seeing in the 4th photo down)... I'm almost certain that my 7-14 has the same slight discoloration/wear mark from normal use, nothing to be afraid of.
