Selling my Panasonic 45mm F2.8 because I am upgrading to the Olympus 45mm.

It's been a great lens. Pristine condition, maybe a few specks of dust here and there but absolutely no scratches on the front or rear lens.

Comes with all original materials: lens, hood, pouch, box and instructions.

Looking to sell for $480 shipped and Paypal within the US. (PM for worldwide rates)

    Ebay feedback - 100%

Pictures taken with this lens and GF1 and as you can see, it makes a great portrait lens:

F/2.8 is like F/5.6 in terms of DoF when you compare it to classic 35mm portrait lenses, which are usually at least f/1.8. So on m43 F/2.8 is not quite enough for object separation and might be an issue for shooting portraits. Good macro lens, though, so he's probably more interested in a portrait lens than a macro, hence it's not downgrading, just moving sideways.

Only someone who hasn't used both lenses would say that.

As you are in UK, you need to budget for 3.5% import duty plus a customs clearance charge (from £7 if it is shipped via the US Postal service but at least double that if is shipped via carriers such as Fedex, UPS etc.) and then 20% VAT on the total of the item's value, the shipping cost, the customs clearance charge and the import duty.

Also, if HM Revenue and Customs believe that the item is undervalued, they will apply a much higher value so you pay more duty and VAT. Beware. :frown:

Thanks Colin...I was aware that I'd have to pay import duty, but after looking at some of the calculations of the total cost, it pretty much approaches a brand new lens price anyway! It's a real pain. From what I can gather from the reviews I've read, if you are ken on macro photography, the lens is worth the price anyway (and there's not really a decent mft alternative unless looking at legacy glass and adaptor)! So I think I'll just try to convince the old trouble that we can part with £500....
