That's a good price. Cheapest until now was $240. At $200, it's pretty competitively priced, so anyone wanting a telephoto zoom now has a good chance of picking one up.

It is worth adding that the 45-200mm is an excellent performer. The OIS works well to eliminate most camera shake and results are sharp throughout the zoom range.

It was $165 plus tax through the Panasonic EPP program (not sure what kind of additional discount if you friend them on facebook, should be in that neighborhood).

FWIW I created an account and ordered, and at checkout the price dropped to $164 + tax. No shipping charge. Total $178.73. Smoking deal!!

This is crazy low. These go for $200 used..... Which I paid last month.
Panasonic EPP deals are awesome at times.

I registered to the Panasonic Purchase Plan, and it's only $199.99. How did you get the $164 discount? EPP? Friend them on Facebook?

I'm offered the EPP price through my company (and I see the lower price). It's how I got into M43 over the holidays with the $499 price for GF3 with 14mm and 14-42mm (which of course I then bought a GF3x for the 14-42pz, and sold the first GF3 with the 14-42mm)

Per the GH2 deal discussion last week, it was suggested liking on Facebook got you the price, but I can't confirm.

    The 45-175PZ is $282.46.

Didn't do anything, just created an account on the site (which you need to do to check out) and when I logged in and went to the check out the price was $164. No EPP, facebook or anything. But the lower price only showed up at checkout, so if you didn't get that far you wouldn't see it.

The Panasonic site has always been screwed up. I recall having to add the item to the cart multiple times and then deleting before finally getting the low price that people were reporting. That was a while back. The site has been updated, but that still may work.

To see if you are eligible for EPP, you need to create an account with your work email address.

You can also "Like" Panasonic on facebook. If you don't have facebook, just make an account and keep it private; you don't HAVE to add people, you can be as involved as you want. If you search for Panasonic, their corporate page comes up. Then, on the page, there is a large link that says "FANS ONLY DEALS." Click on it, and you get to make an employee pricing account.

Called Panasonic but they wouldn't offer the $164.00 price. $199 is still a great price.

Maybe your company has a better deal set up than standard employee pricing. I have EPP through a corporation as well, not Facebook, and mine also shows up at $164. If anyone wanting this deal is in Austin, I'd be happy to meet up with you and let you use my account.
