The price is great, provided you can use the rebate offer as well. I didn't see it, but that could be because I'm in The Netherlands, not in the UK.

Personally I wouldn't deal with this seller. Without a spur of doubt I steer clear from sellers with a feedback score of 98.7 % and 2884  negative feedbacks.

It's Argos so it'd be fine!

Apparently Argos has a good reputation in the UK? I'm completely ignorant about them. Still a seller that manages to get so many negative feedbacks, must do something not completely right.

Argos is a brick and mortar store, found everywhere in the uk. The £50 is a rebate for new panasonic lenses bought in the uk (maybe only for uk residents? Although you can get the rebate credited to PayPal).

I know this is valid as I bough the 20mm for £220 from Argos eBay and got the 50£ cheque last week.

I have no need for this lens though. Wish it was one of they others but glad I got the 20mm for £170 :)

How does this compare to the Olympus 45-150mm? I have an Olympus body so don't need the IS but the extra 50mm might come in handy.

I'd be a bit wary since it says "BRAND NEW WITH A 12 MONTH ARGOS WARRANTY" (not manufacturer's warranty). It's a bit unusual to see that unless the item is somehow not covered by the manufacturer's warranty.

    You mean the Olympus 40-150.
According to those who had both they are very similar up to 150mm.
The extra on the Lumix appears to be its less-good range.

I have the mZuiko 40-150 and I'm not tempted to get this Lumix 45-200 but if I didn't have the Olympus I'd buy this like a shot.
Brand new lens, £120ish ... its a steal!

Thanks Ulfric, as it's apparently quite bulky I guess I'll give it a miss and stick to cropping at the 150mm end of the Oly when I really want to push it.
