Here's one with uncorrected fringing on Olympus body. A little bit of halo will be visible when wide open, but it's well controlled and fixable.

The information I've seen reports that it only occurs when used wide open. I agree that it isn't evident in any of the photos, which is why I asked if people were correcting it in post, or if the early reviews were too harsh. Thanks for the response, it doesn't appear to be an issue.
Wide open until f4, I see slight colour fringing on blown highlights if viewed at 100%... on an Oly EM1X... I have seen a lot worse and the sharpness of the lens is so good that the fringing does not worry me.

I agree. I think that in combination of it's contrast performance makes it quite spectacular.

Just went through this entire thread. I'm not seeing the purple fringing that seems to be an issue with this lens. A lot of the exif isn't showing, but on those it is, even the wide open shots appear to be clean. Are you guys cleaning them up in post, or is the warning over-exaggerated? I'm thinking about adding this one. Some of the shots in here are really nice.
Just seen this Tim, so my apologies for the late reply. I'm using this on a GX8 mostly, and I see little purple fringing at all, and I certainly do not correct for it in post, and in any vase I am a JPEG shooter most of the time.....I have such an old computer that a batch of RAW's slow it down to a crawl. HTH

Thanks. Yeah, I've pretty much determined that the fringing issue is the result of reviewers being a little overzealous. I never did buy one, too many other lenses took precedence. It's on my shortlist.
