Better late than ever, finally got my hands on this one. Have had my eyes on it for some years. But since I'm not much of a tele shooter and already got the 40-150R I felt this was too much when I saw them for sale when clearing stocks two years ago or something. But... now my favorite camera store had a used one in good condition for a great price. So I couldn't resist it anymore. Have longed for the purple brother to complement my beloved 12-35 (favorite lens of all times). And now I finally got the 35-100, have tried it just a little and already dig it! Nice surprise that it feels light and has internal zoom!

My goal is to get a holy trinity of zooms for the LUMIX G9. The 35-100 f/2.8 OIS II is the second lens of my goal. This is my 1st outing with the 35-100 and G9. This 1st pic is a hand held long exposure at Cayucos Pier in California just after sunset on a cloudy day.

This next shot is at Shell Beach on the same cloudy day. A 3 shot hand held panorama using the LUMIX G9 and 35-100 at 35mm. Touched up in LR and auto stitched in MS ICE for more resolution and detail for post processing. I desaturated it and gave it some cinema highlights and shadows to bring out the mood of that day. The 35-100mm f/2.8 is a great landscape lens that can shoot ultra wide to tight when used with panorama technique. And the best part is, no distortion.

I'm not sure about ultra wide... I think stitching a normal or moderate wide angle would be more far more efficient.

I agree though, it's a great landscape lens.

EDIT: I posted the wrong pics (It was for the 12-35). The following are for the 35-100. Shot at 100mm f/2.8, ISO100, 1/1250 sec with 4 stop ND. I was also shooting video, so the ND was needed.

Golden Mantled Ground Squirrels at Lee Meadows. A lot of these little ones all over. Still haven't seen the Palmer Chipmunk. Shot with G9 and 35-100 at f/2.8. 4 stop ND filter. The f/2.8 has very shallow depth of field. Using the focus peaking in Manual focus, it's easy to move the blue.
