You supplied the thread, the least I can do is to supply a picture. :th_salute:
I have the 30mm Macro but haven't used it yet, just some indoor tries.
But here is a picture. (Swedish krona coin, about 25mm across.)

Converted to BW in DxO.
Adding a picture of the coin in full.

Both GM5 + 30mm, with lens almost/just touching the table.

I know lots of people think this is a weird focal length, but I happen to like it very much for general 'walkabout' (especially when paired with the 17mm)

Back when I had my Pentax K-x, my favorite lens was the DA Macro 35mm f/2.8 Ltd. I never used it for macro, just close focus and general shooting. If this lens had been released before the Oly 25mm f/1.8, I'd have snapped it up. Now, not so sure this lens would get that much use, as I've got extension tubes and the MCON P02. I keep thinking about it though....

Davide, you're really putting this lens to good use.

One of the things I like about this focal length is that magnification that I see in the viewfinder (E-M5 ii) closely matches what I see with the naked eye. In other words, I look at something, raise the camera to my eye and the subject appears the same distance away from me. With a wider angle lens or a telephoto lens, the subject appears more distant or closer all of a sudden. It's a momentary adjustment, of course.

When I shot Pentax the DA Macro 35/2.8 Ltd was almost always on my camera. I loved that lens and have some wonderful captures with it.
One of the things I do miss not shooting Pentax was their great DA series of lens.

It seems very sharp up close, but how is the sharpness and resolution at mid and far distances? Often, these macro lenses are not so good at that.
