Is it just my imagination, or did the price of the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens just jump from about $335 to nearly $500 on

    price did jump

When i was first looking in November they were going for 200 used on ebay. I was amped about getting the mu43 system with the pancake lens for a good starter kit price. When i went to get it this this month the used price jumped to 300-350 and the new price was minimum 380-500. I attribute it to the rise of thr popularity of the mu43 system which will ultimately bring production up and then costs down.

I will say this, now having the 1.7 its worth 400 at that pancake convenience. Though i know they used to make a minolta or nikon pancake lens at f1.8 so take that with a grain of salt.

It's still worth it for the best all around m43 lens, IMO.

If the price keeps rising, the 25 maybe more of a viable option for some as the cost difference is getting smaller.
