Even though this lens is hopeless at video, I'm still amazed at the quality of the images it produces comparable to the 12-40 Pro IMO. Taken in September at the iconic Portland Bill, Dorset (England) at sunrise.

In a previous life, I used to go fishing off that very slab of rock, there in the foreground. Must be thirty plus years ago, now. Does not seem to have changed a lot....

Even though this lens is hopeless at video

I found this video pretty mesmerising to watch though:

So it is possible to get some nice video out of it. Depends on your wants/needs/preferences of course. (At least the focusing ring works linearly, so that might ease some of the pain of having to focus manually.)

The video is fine...if you focus manually.
But if you want a manual lens for video - you have a LOT of other options.
Off the top of my head, the hundreds of other lenses with an actual mechanical focus.
For stills, I like it a lot, tho.

My 20's been seeing a bit of use of late. I forget how good it is. Bokeh can be a little bit ropey at times, but that only seems to upset the pixel peeping gear critics
