It more than doubles the size of the svelte 14mm but is still pretty small and doesn't take away from it's optical qualities imo.

Since you can find the 14mm ebay new for about $125 less than list it kinda justifies itself. A true addict's mentality.

Plastic adapter but it snaps snugly and threads nicely. Includes a push on cap and rear cap for adapter ring on the conversion lens.

Bottom line. It adds value to an already value efficient lens.

    oshkoshs.

If you already have the Panasonic 14mm, or the Panasonic 14-42 or Olympus 14-42R, then this offers a way to get close to 11mm for not much more money. It comes with a 37mm adapter that fits both zooms, but should only be used at their 14mm setting.

Purists might object to the shortcomings of the 14mm. I don't have the $799 it costs for the Olympus 12mm, so I can live with imperfection.

Here's the original of the above. You can see how the focal length distorts people at the edges.

The 14's corners look sharper with the adapter than they look without it!

On my copy it is the other way round. Are you using it on an Olympus or Panasonic camera?

I don't own the adapter or the 14/2.5. I was commenting on some of the photos that others had posted.

    Old thread, new question:

Have any of you guys with the Panny WA adapter tried it with the 12mm Oly F2? My guess is that the combination will vignette badly, but if it doesn't it could be a spectacular tool for for shooting dim interiors.

keeping the adapter mount on the 14mm at all times?

Can the adapter mount live on the 14mm lens as a short hood, and the 0.79x glass be installed and removed as needed, quickly and easily? According to this video, the answer is No: once adapter and 0.79x glass are together, they won't easily come apart.

I don't know anyone in the Panasonic Employee pricing program :(
    Guess ill have to wait.

SO explain to me again why they have this separate adapter type; is it for two different thread mounts?

Yes. 46mm for the 14/2.5, 37mm for the 14-42 zoom.

I think you meant "37 for the for the Oly 14-42mm MkII." Right? Because the Pana 14-42 kit zoom is much larger. Only Native lenses I use tho are the Pana 14-45mm and and Oly 17mm 2.8 (it's a 37mm thread too.)

No. This adapter fits the Panny 14-42 power zoom and the Panny 14/2.5 lenses only.

So what is the 37mm size filter thread mount for?
