I had the P14mm and it go great with the EM5, for some stupid reason I sold it.

Anyway I was think about it buying again, but was wondering if maybe the 12-32mm maybe a better choice.

Both lense is nice and small. The 14mm is f2.5, the 12-32mm got great range. The 12-32mm doesn't have a focus ring so not sure how it will work with Olympus cameras.

Does anybody know how the 12-32mm preform compare to the 14mm?

The 12-32mm is 3-5-5.6, not 2.8. The biggest differences here are the zoom is slower, but has extra range. The prime is fast, but is a fixed focal length of course.

What do you want more, speed, or range?

Most people say the 12-32mm performance is very good for a kit lens, but I haven't seen any head to head comparisons to the 14mm.

Ha ha ha, have no idea why I said 2.8 on the title (have corrected) I'm must be losing it.

Range would be nice, but more concern regards the IQ of the lense at 14 and also the functionality with the lack of focus ring on Olympus.

Hoping somebody with a do a quick comparison with both some time soon.

This lens is of interest to a lot of people. The 14, which I have now, IMO, would be completely unnecessary if you already have the 12-32 and the 20/1.7. The 20 is your small low-light lens and the 12-32 is the daily carry-around. That 15/1.7 will make a statement too!

Well if you are in the Uk there is this place, never brought from them so don't know how good they are.

There are also 2 eBay, lense is from Hong Kong, good price but dont know if you trust it, as well as the possibility of duty tax.

I am still waiting for more reviews and finding out the manual focus issue for EM5. Olympus haven't been very active with their EM5 update.

I've bought a few things from them. Good shop, swift delivery. They are very much the real deal (their shop is in Lancashire), rather than an overseas mail-order company masquerading as a UK one.
