I read in one review of the lens that it had 'huge vignetting' but I wouldn't say overall on all those it is a 'huge' issue. There are dark corners on 3 of them but I don't know if that is vignetting or the natrual effect of the light. The 4th has what looks very much like vignetting.
What's your opinion on that?

There is vignetting on this lens, which is not really a major issue.

But what really annoys me is that distortion is really noticeable in architectural photography. But I'm really happy with it and the closest focusing distance is very small. So you really get nice pics with this wide angle at close distance. I'll post a few as soon as I have made some.

That's some seriously nice work. I think Panasonic hired you to show off their lens because those photos have almost nothing to do with the equipment!

-Ray

I wish this would be true. But unfortunately I'm just an enthusiastic amateur photographer equipped with a GF1 (in january the GH2 will join:2thumbs:), tons of Canon FD & FL glas, a Zeiss/Contax 50mm f/1.4, the 'bokeh monster'-Pentacon 135mm f/2.8, both Pana pancakes and the Pana/Leica 45mm f/2.8 macro. Just learning and training to get better everyday. So I really appreciate your comments and critics.

Thank you

Here's one more from yesterday.

And a few from the restaurant I work in.

All shot with a tripod.

I got mine a couple days ago and haven't had a chance to REALLY get out with it (I will hopefully have some good stuff this weekend).

Here are a few test examples from me though. They're not terribly exciting, I just wanted to make sure the lens worked properly :)

So far I really like this tiny little lens. I haven't evaluated it from a technical standpoint, but it gives me sharp images and a wider view than my 20mm pancake. I like it :D

Mine arrived today. I thought it was broke.
It focuses without a sound. I mean virtually quiet!
It also focuses very, very fast even in low light.
Photos to follow...

Oh dear. This thread is creating a need...

I have waiting to see some shots with this lens, and hoped they would be good. Obviously it's a capable lens, but alipapa, you have the eye and skill to really work it.
