Panasonic 14-42 Mega O.I.S. Pancake lens!!!

    I think someone here beat you to the punch on this news!:) It'll be very interesting to see the quality of this lens, though even if it's only vaguely adequate I'm sure the size will attract lots of new users to the format. Hopefully, of course, it'll be rather better than that!

    One correction to the headline though: the lens doesn't use Mega OIS, it uses Power OIS, which IIRC is said to be twice as effective as Mega OIS. It's in my TZ10, and extremely impressive it is, to me. I've wondered for a while why Panasonic interchangeable lenses featured less advanced OIS than its compacts, so I'm very glad to see Power OIS finally make its appearance for m43!

    I really dig this idea. It may be the next lens for me. I would likely leave it on most of the time in decent light. That is of course if the price is around or lower than $300 otherwise I'd pass
