Really pleased with this as a take anywhere lens.

Versatility- this is what I appreciate from this lens

This lens is not the sharpest lens in the bag, but ....
When I'm out on the river in a canoe it provides me with all the versatility I can reasonably ask for. When I'm on a river I don't know if I will spot a turtle around the next corner or a moose (insert your pick of elusive big game). With this lens ... I'm ready!

Here's the Turtle:

My picture is VERY cropped. This portion represents not even 10% of the whole picture, but I really wanted to get that seed in the air on the top right. Oh well, only 16mp I cannot do any miracles.

The wide angle became very handy for this photo session! Unfortunately I didn't use a polarizer filter, this is a 20 second exposure shot. ( the file is only 2mb for online publication, or else quality is superb).

Zoomed to the max at 140, then manually focused as close as I could (around 1 foot I think). Look at all the detail, you can easily see the thin white fibers on the left side of the petals, and this is just a 800x600 pic, not the full resolution!

SOOTC no post, nothing. Fully zoomed at 140mm. There are similar pictures in the Panasonic-Leica Nocticron 42.5 thread.

I went out to the park this afternoon, I usually avoid direct sunlight but I am very satisfied of the pictures from this very old lens! Is this the most under-rated lens in mft? I always get surprised at how well it keeps the smallest detail.

I took around 100 pictures but only kept these final versions. I took like 20 of the bird feather, and 20 of the squirrel in burst mode.
