I think I’m going to have to try this lens. That range is just very nice.

Huh? thought everyone already had one. If u don't need 12mm sell the P12-60 and 45-150 and replace it with thatone lens. VERY versatile lens. Most of my non speciality shots were taken with it. From landscapes to pseudo macro

A couple days ago, I tried handholding a shot of the moon. Cropped heavily on a single shot. Note: processed, with some sharpness, contrast, and tone curve adjustments. Just an idea of what the final product can be. Of course could do better with some stacking or other tricks, I'm sure.

Not much activity here. I am looking for a good copy of the version 2 model of this lens. I have a listing in buy and sell if you have a copy that is not being used. If you have one and don’t want to sell it then take some pictures and post them here and get the thread going:drinks:

Got this lens yesterday! What a fantastic piece of equipment. Very convenient to have 10x zoom with only one lens :) perfect for walk around in nature and such.

First here is a sample showing just how much zoom there is, incredible in this quite small package!

How is it I've only just found this thread? I've obviously not been looking hard enough.
Anyways the 14-140 II (recent upgrade from the 14-140 I) spends the vast majority of time on my G9. I think it's a fantastic lens. Before getting the MK II I rented an Oly 12-100 Pro for a week in the Lake District. Although that lens is undoubtably good I was hard pressed to see £400 of improvement so I plumped for the 14-140 II to get the weather sealing.
Here are a few recent shots from my regular lunchtime walk from work

It's hard to go past this lens for general walkabout and travel - it's almost always on my camera. One thing I really appreciate is its close focusing abilities at all focal lengths. Strangely, there's something I like about the bokeh character. Even pressed into low light service it does okay. As you'd expect of a compromise, it does nothing exceptionally well, except compromise.
