Please forgive me (an μ3/4 newbie) if this has October 2011been asked/answered many times but my searches yield nothing useful. If so, please just link me to those discussions.

From what I read, when the Panasonic 14-140 f/4.0-5.8 is used on Panasonic bodies, they automatically 'correct' CA and distortion inherent to the lens. But not so with Olympus bodies (I have EM5, PL2, P1):

However, that review was published October 2011. Has the situation changed since then? Have more recent versions of Oly firmware accounted for those issues?

My searches do mention corrections made automatically to RAW files by DXO and Lightroom but to be honest, I usually prefer to leverage Oly's remarkably good JPG engine to simplify post-processing.

And yes, I am aware of and would consider the Oly 14-150 but the cost differential is notable AND the OIS of the Panasonic would definitely be useful should I acquire a Panasonic body.

Thanks in advance for assistance with this!
