A handful of images taken in a small town, Mixquic, an hour south of Mexico City, on the night of Día de los Muertos (the Day of the Dead).

Everywhere you go, people are wearing Calavera (skeleton) or Catrina (a pretty female Calavera) makeup, in honor of 'the dead' -

The streets are packed, old, young and younger, all out for the annual Día de los Muertos happenings -

Some children are even wearing American-style Halloween costumes -

And in the middle of all the madness, there are still a few pockets of stillness

While I have no way of actual 'proving' it, I suspect that the O.I.S. on this lens, along with the built-in stabilization of my GX8 body, contributed to my ability to shoot handheld low-light shots in dark condidtons.

It's a great lens.

It also seems to mount nicely - organically, one might say - on my GX8.

Mine turned up a couple of weeks back now, and I'm well pleased with it. Surprised it's not more popular to be honest, it's a little gem. Here's a few shots I've made with it so far.

I really like what this lens is capable of. It also fits nicely (not too small, not too large) on my GX9.

I actually thought I'd posted more photos in this thread than I seem to have. I'll remedy that :) I find it a really good auto event lens. Just wide enough, just long enough. And at 35mm & f/2.8, just enough aperture to soften the background nicely, & help isolate the subject. I've even tries a few test shots between the 12-35 & my Siggy 30 f/1.4, & the 12-35 holds its head up very nicely.
