The Polish camera site optyczne has posted a review of Panasonic's 12-35/2.8.

It does have a few weaknesses (center at 12/2.8, corners at 35/2.8, vignetting), but overall a very competent performance. Eliminates any lingering interest I might have had in the 12/2 for landscapes!

"The obtained result there is a bit below the level set by our decency. " Is that a good thing or bad thing?

Not a good thing. But it's their only complaint re: sharpness.

At one point I had two of the 12-35/2.8 and two of the 12/2. Both of the 12-35/2.8 were sharper than either of the 12/2 at f/2.8. Maybe I had really good luck with the Panasonics and really bad luck with the Olympus lenses, but if that kind of result is possible, it's hard to imagine that the 12/2 is going to be clearly better than the 12-35/2.8 on a consistent basis in real life (unless you really need f/2 frequently).
