It's actually reasonable if you can get close enough. Cropping kills it.

That is a great shot with a lot of detail and clarity. Did you use any type of bracket exposure?
I can never get that detail with one shot. This is one from last night on the full moon with same lens cropped.

Thanks! No, it's a single shot. I just used spot metering which made the camera expose for only the moon, nothing else unique.

Thanks Jay. I've been using center weighted, but will give that a try tonight for the blood moon.

Around 0900 every morning I have some hummingbirds visit the bloomed bush in front of my house, figured I would give it a go now that I can hang back far enough to not scare anything. All 1:1 non zoomed crops
