Nice shots Kevin, but you're in the wrong thread mate. This is the outlet for us mere mortals who only dream of that extra 100mm. General consensus is that IBIS is more suited to shorter focal lengths, whilst OIS is better for longer focal lengths. IIRC, I saw something a while ago that said stabilisation of longer focal lengths requires bigger / stronger electromagnets. Space around the sensor is too limited, so it's easier to house these magnets inside the lens barrel.

Thanks mate, will delete post now :blush:

Cross posted to the Share birds thread.

FINALLY, years after my man walked right up and took a photo of gang gang cockatoos in our sheoak trees with his iPhone (when I hadn't been able to get photos even with a long lens), I have managed what I had begun to think was only possible with a smartphone and a barely-interested attitude!

This red-headed male and a few lady friends were feeding on pods in a wattle (acacia); only one female allowed me to go on shooting after her company flew off to a quieter spot - she kept a close eye on me though.

I love that shot, I don't remember being able to see the Toronto skyline from the Beamsville area, is it a common occurrence?

Yes. This was taken from Beamer Park Lookout above Grimsby. It was overcast but on a clear day the Toronto skyline is quite easy to see from there.
