    Hi
Would not want to make any unwarranted assumptions or cast unfriendly aspersions but this seller is totally new to MU43 having only joined on 19/02/13 with 0 posts
Buyers may wish to proceed with some care here !
Unreserved apologies to the OP should my urge for caution be unwarranted
    Regards
    Rob

I suppose everyone has to start somewhere, but your advice about caution is good advice (can probably be said for almost every transaction carried out on line though).

I'll be withdrawing my interest in the 20mm, Alseal has PM'ed asking for £15 to post 1st Class post (real cost £2.30), he has also not been able to supply any details of possible feedback on other forums or eBay so just don't feel confident in carrying on.

I am charging extra for postage + packaging and mainly the inconvenience of me posting out. We shouldn't expect to receive the service from a boutique when we are paying the price of a second-hand trading, should we?
I have always stated that I wish to trade face to face as i never sold online before and therefore do not have the credibility asked for. I wish to just sell the lens quickly hence the price and the request to meet face to face for the satisfaction of both parties.

If they are still available, could you restate the prices for the 20 and 45 please? I'm interested in a face-to-face cash deal in London (East Finchley, Moorgate, Central areas)

I will admit to not really understanding what a boutique has to do with it, but I would expect an honest fair seller to price an item fairly and to then charge postage at cost if an item needs to be posted.

I have bought and sold over 30 items on AV Forums, 40 items on Talk Photography and over 400 on eBay, I have never tried to profiteer by charging 5 times the actual cost of postage.

Forums are supposed to be friendly places to buy and sell at a cheaper price than eBay, not even on eBay do sellers try and charge £15 for £2 postage.

Good luck to you and anyone who deals with you.

It did - I now have it in my hands for £130.
Nice guy, easy transaction - I met Alseal in central London. He didn't mind me testing on my camera etc. All in all an excellent price for a good lens. Hope this is useful info for anyone else buying a lens from him.

    Thanks Alseal!

I've just bought the 45mm and can vouch for Alseal. We met without difficulty as arranged, the lens was in good condition as described, the price was very competitive when compared to buying second-hand from ebay or camera shops, and he's a gentleman to boot. Care is always worth taking when meeting or privately buying and selling online, but in this case, I've had an excellent experience. Thanks Alseal!
