would like to ask anyone using pana 14mm f2.5 pancake lens?

Any comment of the image quality at its wide angle shoot?

    Currently im having em5 + 12-50mm and 45mm f1.8,

thinking of let go and replace my 12-50mm with some smaller pan lens for convenience purpose, tats y considering the pana 14mm f2.5:

    - which qt close to 12mm length of 12-50mm
    - get another pana 20mm or 25mm lens for middle length
    - my own 45mm f1.8 for replace tele angle of 12-50mm
    - get a macro converter for 45mm f1.8 to replace macro of 12-50mm

Tats y im concern abt the image quality of 14mm angle compare to the quality of 12mm angle of 12-50mm....

    which one better?any suggestion?Thanks everyone!!

I've never shot with the 12-50 but I do have the 14/2.5 pancake and the 20 1.7. I like the lenses much more than I expected. What I do love most, however, is that they are so freakin' tiny making the OM-D no hassle at all to take anywhere.

(I did just pickup the Panasonic-Leica 25 1.4. I couldn't resist the temptation after all the rave reviews and beautiful photos I've seen shot with it. I am still keeping the 20 however, in case I ever need something small)

Have you looked at the image thread for the 14mm?

There's some absolutely beautiful pictures. I had the lens for a while with a GF2 kit, but sold both to save up for the 9-18mm. I want to get another copy when I can...

The size and the speed would be great as an indoor companion to the 9-18 (which is 3 stops slower at 14mm).

I have both lenses. The 14mm is terribly sharp, lighting AF and significantly faster than the 12-50, much more compact and easier to handle. On the flip side, like any zoom, the 12-50 is more versatile.

Ofcz pana-Leica 25mm is much more better, but the size n price r a lot higher n bigger than 14mm....now i jz like to consider some cheap pan lens 1st...

I have seen some pic of pana 20mm or 14mm with em5, I think their outlook is qt match with my silver em5, n most importantly like u said, they r so freakin tiny n easy to carry!:)

Thanks ur sharing anyway :) , n now I have more idea on wat I want, :)

I'm newbie here n jz saw the image thread of 14mm, omg they r jz too surprised me tat 14mm can come out with such wonderful pic!!!

At my beginner level I think 14mm should be enough for my shooting practicing b4 I go on more wide angle like 9-18mm :)

The IQ of the 14mm f2.5 is good w/ fast AF, the 20mm f1.7 has great IQ too.. paired w/ e-pm1 makes the camrea easy to carry for everyday uses, recently i picked up a DMW-GWC1 Wide-angle conver.. 11mm vs 14mm
