Was on a road trip couple weeks ago passing by Utah (mt. carmel, i think). Folks there really got a nice dark sky comparing to california. I think the condition is even better than what we got in death valley, or maybe i just didn't go deep enough into death valley cuz I was afraid I might die there and no body will ever know Beside that Andromeda one, I didn't have to do any brush fine tune in lightroom, just some slide adjustment and the color already pops. Photos are taken with my new GX8 and the lens are tag above each photo. It's the first time I use the GX8 for astro, and yes the noise performance is much better than my old GX7 on long exposures. I ended up mainly using noise reduction in lightroom for eliminating small stars rather than really meant to denoise. pana 42.5, f1.7 60s iso200 olympus 12mm f2 60s iso200 olympus 20mm f2 40s iso400 panasonic 35-100mm f4~5.6 f5.6@200mm 60s iso800 and cropped hard lol.... on a iOptron skytracker and mad slide adjustment and brush adjustment.
