I guess I'm one of the few folks in the USA that prefers Senseo over Keurig coffee....

Senseo coffee pods in stores is extremely difficult to find! :frown:

I don't know what Keurig coffee is but Senseo or 3rd party pads that work in Senseo machines are freely available and cheap here. I buy Italian Intermezzo pads that taste as good as the beans. Although, at home, I still prefer Italian espresso beans in my fully automatic Saeco machine. 1 Button - Grind, press, pump, enjoy.

Yes from what I've seen, Senseo is much more popular in Europe
  4. My coffee preference the past two years is the most excellent Africafe instant coffee from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. Was introduced to this brew at Central Market by way of an expats couple newly returned from Tanzania who were presenting, with a missionary's zeal, this their favorite coffee. I had withdrawal symptoms until discovering it available on Amazon.

Also, Africafe Coffee, Africa’s Finest Coffee Beans, Ground Coffee and Instant Coffee

    Oh yeah,
I can find them all over the place online. But trying to find in a brick n' mortar store - yeah right.

And if you do find any, you have the great choices of...
    -Dark Roast
    -Medium Roast

    And that's it!

I hear you, RT...I prefer Senseo as well. My wife and I went to Europe with some friends a few years ago. One of the places we stayed had a Senseo. We loved it. The friends ended up buying one when they got home, and have expressed the same frustrations as you in finding the pods. Good luck!

I totally agree with RT. Keurig is overpriced, results in too much waste material, but the Senseo is hard to find and offers too little choice. :-(

Love my coffee. I just recently discovered the aeropress. It is fantastic. I actually get up a little early just to make it. Best of all it is cheap.

Took the wife camping for anniversary one year (otherwise an excellent trip) and the generator would not start (so no espresso machine - our usual fare). No filters or cone for back-up plan as I usually have stashed away in the camping gear chest-o-goodies ... so I used some cotton underwear as a filter.

Never having served in the armed forces I wonder what branch such actions would indicate I'd best fit?

As my coffee is instant and comes out of a supermarket own brand jar (not even Gold Blend) I feel a little out of my depth in this thread!
